Олександрі Сидорівні було 19 років, коли під час Другої світової війни вона пішла добровольцем на фронт. Служила у військовому госпіталі, виносила поранених бійців з поля бою та надавала медичну допомогу. За заслуги нагороджена медалями та почесним Знаком «Фронтовик 1941-1945». Після війни приїхала у Харків, працювала телефоністкою у військовій частині. З 1980 року працювала медсестрою в кардіологічному центрі.
Олександрі Сидорівні 97 років. Разом зі своєю родиною вона проживає на Холодній горі у Харкові. І вже вдруге за своє життя вона вимушена долати складнощі пов’язані з бойовими діями. Якщо на своїй першій війні пані Олександра надавала допомогу нужденним, то у 2022 допомога знадобилась їй самій. Сім’я жінки звернулась до місії «Проліска» з проханням надати гуманітарну допомогу. Наші співробітники долаючи численні складнощі змогли знайти в охопленому війною Харкові необхідні засоби гігієни та догляду та передати їх за адресою.
WE HELPED A 97 YEAR-OLD VETERAN OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR
How many people are there today who have dedicated their lives to help others, now need help themselves? Let us tell you a story of a Kharkivite who had been saving lives during a war, but now together with her family is suffering from the shelling of her hometown.
Oleksandra Sydorivna was 19, when during the Second World War she volunteered to serve on the frontline. She was serving in a military hospital, she was taking wounded soldiers from the battlefield and providing them with first medical help. For her merits, she was awarded with medals and the honorary Badge «Frontline Person 1941-1945». After the war she arrived in Kharkiv and worked as a telephonist in a military base. From 1980 she had been working in a cardiological center.
Oleksandra Sydorivna is 97 years old. Together with her family, she lived in Kholodna Hora in Kharkiv. And for the second time in her life, she is forced to overcome the difficulties related to military actions. And while during the her first war Mrs. Oleksandra was helping those in need, in 2022 she was in need of help herself. The women’s family has asked the Proliska Mission for help. Our workers, while overcoming numerous difficulties, have managed to find in war-engulfed Kharkiv the needed hygiene products and personal care products and to deliver them to the address.
